80년대엔 어른이 게임하는 게 되게 이상하게 보였어. 그땐 그냥 애들만 하는 거였거든. 근데 지금은 40~50대가 게임하는 게 아주 자연스럽잖아

그러니까 지금으로부터 30년쯤 지나면, 이 사람들이 70대쯤 됐을 때에도 계속 게임할 확률이 높고, 노인들이 게임하는 모습이 아주 흔해질 거야.

여기서 말하는 건 그냥 Wii로 살짝 해보는 그런 거 말고, 진짜로 게임 잘 알고 경쟁도 하고 그런 진짜 게이머들 말이야.

진짜 60대, 심지어 70대 초반에도 열혈 게이머들 꽤 있어.

아타리 2600이 출시된 게 거의 48년 전이니까, 그걸로 게임을 시작해서 지금까지 계속 즐기고 있다면 나이가 68쯤 됐을 거야. 그걸 20살에 샀다고 가정하면 그렇고, 더 늦게 시작했다면 지금쯤 70대일 수도 있고.

사람들이 게임이라는 게 얼마나 오래된 문화인지 가끔 까먹는 것 같아. PS2 나왔을 때 14살이었으면 지금 거의 40살이니까.

그러니까 내가 90~100살쯤 됐을 때에도 계속 게임하고 있었으면 좋겠고, 그땐 지금 게임들을 리메이크만 하진 않았으면 좋겠네.
