President Trump tells CNN Israel strikes on
Iran were “very successful”

President Donald Trump told CNN that the US supports Israel and called the strikes on
Iran last night
a very successful attack
‘We of course support Israel, Obviously and supported it like nobody has ever
supported it’
Trump said in a brief phone call
Iran should have listened to me when

도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령은 CNN과의 전화 인터뷰에서 “미국은 이스라엘을 지지한다”며, 전날 이란에 대한 이스라엘의 공습을 “매우 성공적인 공격”이라고 평가했다.
트럼프 대통령은 “우리는 물론 이스라엘을 지지한다. 그 누구보다 강하게 지지해왔다”고 강조했다.
이어 “이란에 60일의 경고를 줬다. 오늘이 61일째 되는 날이다. 내 말을 들었어야 했다”고 밝혔다.
트럼프 대통령은 “이제 (이란은) 너무 늦기 전에 협상 테이블로 나와야 한다. 정말 늦어버릴수도 있다. 내가 상대했던 강경파들은 이제 죽었다. 그들이 누구인지는 밝히지 않겠다”고 말했다.
또 전날 이스라엘의 공습과 사망이 관련 있느냐는 질문에는 “그 사람들이 독감이나 코로나로 죽은 건 아니다”라며 비꼬듯 답했다.
한편, 마르코 루비오 미 국무장관은 이번 공습에 대해 “미국이 개입하거나 지원한 바 없다”고 밝혔다.
